Genx Vast F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in adults, helping to lower the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.

Uses of Genx Vast F Tablet are:

• High Cholesterol: Manages primary hypercholesterolaemia, a condition of high cholesterol levels.
• Mixed Dyslipidaemia: Helps correct abnormal levels of different lipids in the blood.
• Triglyceride Reduction: Lowers elevated triglyceride levels that can increase heart disease risk.
• Familial Hypercholesterolaemia: Used in homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia, a genetic condition causing very high cholesterol.

Here's how you should take Genx Vast F Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing it.

• Do not take more than one tablet a day unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

• If you feel any discomfort or side effects after taking this medicine, consult your doctor immediately.

Genx Vast F Tablet is taken orally.

Genx Vast F Tablet consists of two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by blocking an enzyme in your liver called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is responsible for making cholesterol in your body. By blocking it, atorvastatin can help decrease the amount of cholesterol produced by your liver. It also enhances the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, leading to increased uptake and breakdown of LDL.

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): This ingredient mainly targets the reduction of blood triglyceride levels. It activates a receptor in your body, called the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα), which helps increase the activity of an enzyme that breaks down triglyceride-rich particles. This can lead to a decrease in the levels of triglycerides in your blood.

• Store the Genx Vast F Tablets at room temperature, specifically below 25°C.

• Keep it in a tightly closed container to protect the medication from light and moisture.

• Ensure it is out of reach and sight of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use; avoid using any expired product.

• Incorporating a diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol can help manage your blood lipid levels whilst on Genx Vast F Tablet.

• Regular physical activity, such as brisk walking for 30 minutes a day, can boost your body’s HDL (“good”) cholesterol and lower LDL ("bad") cholesterol and triglycerides, complementing the effects of Genx Vast F Tablet.
