Lazine M Tablet 10

Lazine M Tablet is used for managing both seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and perennial allergic rhinitis, helping to alleviate symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes/nose/throat. It also manages chronic idiopathic urticaria (itchy hives) and is used as an add-on treatment for allergic asthma and exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.

Ensure you follow these instructions while taking Lazine-M Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• The medicine should be taken as advised by your doctor.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Lazine-M Tablet is taken orally.

Lazine-M Tablet contains two key active ingredients:

• Montelukast (10 mg): This falls under the category of leukotriene receptor antagonists. It specifically blocks cysteinyl leukotrienes at their receptor sites in your airways and blood vessels. Leukotrienes are substances that cause inflammation in response to allergens, leading to airway swelling, muscle contraction in the airways and increased mucus production, which are common features in asthma and allergic rhinitis. By blocking these actions, montelukast helps reduce these symptoms.

• Levocetirizine (5 mg): This component is classified as an antihistamine. Its role is to selectively block histamine H1 receptors in your body. Histamine is a chemical messenger involved in causing allergic reactions like itching, runny nose or watery eyes. By blocking these receptors, levocetirizine helps inhibit the allergic reactions triggered by histamine.
