Omniclav 625 Tablet is a combination penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections in adults. It is effective for infections of the lungs and airways (pneumonia, bronchitis), throat and sinuses, ear infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and bone and joint infections.
It contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Take the tablet with or at the start of a meal to improve absorption and reduce stomach discomfort. Complete the full course prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve after a few days. Stopping early can allow surviving bacteria to multiply and develop resistance.
Rest adequately and drink plenty of fluids while recovering from a bacterial infection to help your body heal and stay hydrated.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, or if you have a history of liver jaundice or kidney disease. Seek immediate medical advice if you develop severe diarrhoea, a blistering skin rash, or yellowing of your eyes or skin.
