Pantosec Tablet 10

Pantosec Tablet is used to treat acid-related disorders such as GERD, acid reflux, heartburn, and peptic ulcers. It is also prescribed for Zollinger–Ellison syndrome to reduce excessive stomach acid and promote healing of the stomach and the food pipe.

To use the Pantosec Tablet:

1. Take as directed by your doctor.
2. Swallow the tablet whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it.
3. Take it one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning.
4. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.
5. Consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine.

Pantosec Tablet is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with a glass of water. It is not to be taken through any other route.

Pantosec Tablet contains pantoprazole sodium as its active ingredient.

• Pantoprazole sodium belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
• PPIs work by inhibiting an enzyme called H+/K+ ATPase, which reduces the production of gastric acid.

• In Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, pantoprazole sodium controls hyperacidity by inhibiting excess acid production.
