Pantosec D SR Capsule is used in adults to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, indigestion, gastritis and peptic ulcers, providing relief from heartburn, nausea, bloating and acid reflux.

Uses of Pantosec D SR Capsule are:

• Acid Reflux and GERD: Reduces heartburn, regurgitation and irritation of the food pipe.
• Gastritis and Peptic Ulcers: Helps reduce stomach acid to support healing.
• Indigestion: Improves stomach movement, easing bloating and upper stomach discomfort.

To use Pantosec D SR Capsule effectively, follow these steps:

• Take Pantosec D SR Capsule about an hour before a meal, usually in the morning, exactly as your doctor prescribes.
• Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush, chew or open it, as it is a sustained-release form.
• Do not change the dose or stop early on your own, even if you feel better.

Pantosec D SR Capsule is taken by mouth. Swallow it whole with water, before a meal.

Pantosec D SR Capsule contains the following active components:

• Pantoprazole (40 mg): It blocks the acid pump in the stomach lining, lowering acid and easing heartburn and reflux.
• Domperidone (30 mg): It helps the stomach empty and eases nausea by acting on the gut and the brain's nausea trigger area.

Together, Pantosec D SR Capsule reduces acid and improves stomach movement, which relieves heartburn, bloating, nausea and upper-tummy discomfort.

• Store Pantosec D SR Capsule below 25°C, in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach and sight of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Avoid spicy, fatty and fried foods, eat smaller regular meals, and do not lie down within two to three hours of eating.
• Keep a healthy weight, limit alcohol and avoid smoking, which all worsen reflux. Raising the head of the bed can help night-time symptoms.
• If you take Pantosec D SR Capsule long term, your doctor may check your magnesium, vitamin B12 and bone health, and will aim for the lowest dose for the shortest time needed.

• The domperidone part is meant for short-term use, so do not exceed the dose or take it longer than advised.

• Avoid smoking, limit alcohol, and do not lie down soon after meals.
