Olopat Eye Drops is a medicine used to treat symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, such as eye itching, redness, swelling, and watering. It works by preventing the allergic response in the eyes when exposed to environmental allergens like pollen, dust, or pet dander.
It contains olopatadine, an antihistamine and mast cell stabiliser. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to maintain sterility.
Good eye hygiene helps manage allergic eye symptoms. Avoid rubbing your eyes, wear sunglasses outdoors to protect against airborne allergens, and use clean, cool compresses to soothe irritated eyes.
Inform your doctor if you wear contact lenses; usually, lenses should be removed before applying the drops and reinserted after 15 minutes. Consult your doctor if eye discomfort, pain, or vision changes persist.
