Nitrofurantoin (100 Mg)

Nitrotime SR 100 Tablet 10 is used to treat and prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). It is a single-ingredient antibiotic medicine containing nitrofurantoin, in a sustained-release form.

This medicine kills the bacteria causing the infection by disrupting their DNA within the urinary tract, and is also used as a preventive measure against recurring UTIs, particularly during pregnancy. It may not be effective against certain bacteria, such as Proteus or Pseudomonas species.

Before starting, tell your doctor about any pre-existing conditions or ongoing medicines.

Nitrotime SR 100 Tablet 10 is used to treat and prevent urinary tract infections.

Uses of Nitrotime SR 100 Tablet 10 are:

Urinary Tract Infections: Treats uncomplicated bladder and kidney infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Recurrent UTI Prevention: Helps prevent UTIs from recurring, particularly during pregnancy.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water or milk to ease absorption and minimise stomach upset.
Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.
