CompositionNiftas 100 SR Tablet is used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) by clearing the bacteria responsible. It also helps prevent recurrent UTIs when used as advised, and relieves discomfort during urination and frequent urges to pass urine.
It contains nitrofurantoin, an antibacterial that concentrates in the urine. It works by damaging the bacteria in the urinary tract, which stops them growing.
Take it as prescribed, with food, to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption. Drinking plenty of water helps flush bacteria from the urinary tract.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver or lung conditions before starting. Report numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, or breathing difficulty, especially with longer use.
