Nitrohart Tablet is used for the following:

• Enhancing the quality of life in patients with mild to severe chronic heart failure

• Particularly effective in managing heart failure symptoms in African American patients

• Used in combination with other heart failure therapies as prescribed by a doctor

Here's how you should take Nitrohart Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet

• Do not take more than your doctor has recommended

Nitrohart Tablet is a combination medicine with two active ingredients:

• Hydralazine (37.5 mg): This component acts as a direct-acting vasodilator that relaxes your arteries and arterioles. By doing this, it reduces peripheral resistance, thereby lowering your blood pressure. It works by increasing cyclic GMP levels in the smooth muscle cells of your blood vessels.

• Isosorbide Dinitrate (20 mg): This is an organic nitrate and a vasodilating agent. It works by releasing nitric oxide (NO) when metabolised, which activates an enzyme called guanylate cyclase. This leads to an increase in cGMP production and relaxes your smooth muscles.

• Store Nitrohart Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the tablet container tightly closed to protect the medicine from moisture.
