Mucomix Tablet is used to manage breathing conditions in which thick, sticky mucus is a problem. It is a single-ingredient mucolytic medicine containing acetylcysteine.
It is used in chronic bronchitis, asthma, emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and helps ease chest congestion by making phlegm easier to cough out. Take it with or after food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it for the full duration advised.
Drink plenty of fluids, avoid cigarette smoke, dust and other lung irritants, and practise gentle breathing or coughing exercises as advised by your healthcare provider.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, asthma or liver or kidney conditions and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. It is not recommended during pregnancy unless advised by a doctor. Report persistent stomach discomfort, a skin rash or sudden chest tightness to your doctor. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
