Moxclav Ds Suspension 30ml

Moxclav DS Oral Suspension used primarily for managing recurrent or persistent bacterial infections in children, particularly those caused by resistant strains. It is often prescribed for recurrent acute otitis media and serious conditions like community-acquired pneumonia. It is also effective in managing sinusitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, uncomplicated skin infections, and urinary tract infections in paediatric patients.

The reconstituted suspension should be consumed within 7 days of preparation.

Moxclav DS Oral Suspension is given orally.

Moxclav DS Oral Suspension contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (400 mg): This component belongs to a group of medicines called antibiotics which are capable of killing bacteria. It does this by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls which are crucial for their survival.
• Clavulanic Acid (57 mg): This ingredient doesn't kill bacteria itself but helps amoxicillin do its job better. It is a β-lactamase inhibitor which means it prevents certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin, thus extending its antibiotic spectrum to include many bacteria that would otherwise be immune.

Together, these two components provide broad coverage against common pathogens causing various bacterial infections in children.
