Advent Forte Syrup is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, teeth, and urinary tract. It also helps in cases of antibiotic-resistant infections, including certain tuberculosis strains, but does not work against viral infections like the flu or common cold.

• Skin Infection: These infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Advent Forte Syrup treats all skin infections, including abscesses caused by bacteria.
• Tonsillitis: Advent Forte Syrup effectively treats tonsillitis, an inflammation of the tonsils usually due to bacterial infection. It contains two active ingredients, amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, that work together to fight a wide range of bacteria commonly associated with tonsillitis.
• Resistant tuberculosis (TB): This medicine can be used to manage TB caused by bacteria resistant to other antibiotics.
• Sinusitis: Advent Forte Syrup is used to treat sinusitis, an infection or inflammation of the sinuses. It helps eradicate the bacteria responsible for sinusitis, relieving symptoms and promoting healing. The broad spectrum of activity of this medication makes it an appropriate choice for treating sinusitis.
• Otitis media: Advent Forte Syrup effectively manages otitis media, an infection or inflammation of the middle ear. It helps eliminate the bacteria causing the infection, alleviating ear pain and resolving the inflammation.
• Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: It is used to treat acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, often caused by bacterial infections. By targeting the specific bacterial pathogens responsible for the exacerbation, it helps combat the infection, reduce inflammation in the airways, and improve respiratory symptoms.
• Lobar and bronchopneumonia: Advent Forte Syrup is effective against lobar and bronchopneumonia, both are bacterial infections affecting the lungs. It helps eradicate the causative bacteria, alleviate respiratory symptoms, and promote recovery.
• Urinary tract infections(UTIs): These infections occur in the urinary system, causing symptoms like frequent urination, pain during urination, and cloudy or bloody urine.
• Severe dental abscess: Advent Forte Syrup effectively treats severe dental abscesses associated with spreading cellulitis. It helps control the infection, reduce inflammation, and prevent the spread of bacteria to surrounding tissues.

• First, shake the bottle to loosen the powder.

Advent Forte Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (400 mg): This is a semisynthetic beta-lactam antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins in bacterial cell walls, which disrupts the peptidoglycan layer, leading to cell lysis and the death of susceptible bacteria.
• Clavulanic acid (57 mg): Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor with little antimicrobial activity of its own. However, it neutralises certain beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria that could otherwise destroy amoxicillin. This protection extends the antibiotic effect of amoxicillin to cover many beta-lactamase producing pathogens.

• Keep Advent Forte Syrup out of reach of children for safety.
