Montair Plus Tablet is typically used for the following:

• Chronic management of asthma

• Prevention of asthma symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath

• Handling exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, where breathing becomes difficult due to physical exertion

• Alleviating allergic rhinitis symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, and a runny nose

When taking Montair Plus Tablet, follow these guidelines:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• You can take it with or without food, as per your doctor's guidance.

• Don't crush or chew the tablet.

• Never exceed the recommended dose unless your doctor advises you otherwise.

• If you think about stopping this medicine, have a conversation with your doctor first.

Montair Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Montair Plus Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Montelukast (10 mg): Classified as a leukotriene receptor antagonist, montelukast inhibits the action of leukotrienes. These are substances produced during allergic reactions that cause inflammation, swelling, and constriction of the bronchi in the lungs. By blocking leukotrienes, montelukast aids in averting asthma symptoms and exercise-induced bronchospasm.

• Bambuterol (10 mg): As a long-acting bronchodilator, bambuterol relaxes the muscles surrounding the airways. This action eases breathing for the patient. Bambuterol is a prodrug, which transforms into the active form, terbutaline, inside the body.

• Store Montair Plus Tablet at temperatures below 25°C.

• Keep it in its original packaging to protect from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• For managing asthma, try to limit exposure to allergens and irritants like dust, smoke, and strong perfumes that can trigger asthma symptoms.

• Regular physical exercise is beneficial but always have a fast-acting inhaler handy during workouts as exercise can sometimes trigger asthma symptoms.
