Megaclox Capsule is used in the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections across different organ systems.

Uses of Megaclox Capsule are:

• Respiratory and Dental Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, airways, and teeth.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Manages bacterial skin infections, boils, and wound infections.
• Urinary and Gynaecological Infections: Clears bacterial infections affecting the urinary system and reproductive tract.

Here are some simple instructions to follow while taking Megaclox Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a sufficient amount of water.
• The capsule can be taken with or without food, based on your comfort.
• Do not chew, break, or crush the capsule.
• Always take the medicine as per your doctor's advice. Do not alter the dosage on your own.
• Continue taking this medicine for the entire duration prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better earlier. This ensures that all harmful bacteria are killed and reduces the risk of infection recurrence.

Megaclox Capsule is taken orally.

Megaclox Capsule comprises two active ingredients:

• Ampicillin (250 mg): This antibiotic prevents the formation of bacterial cell walls in certain bacteria. It binds and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins which are vital for the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan. The disruption of this process leads to cell breakdown, causing death in susceptible bacteria.
• Cloxacillin (250 mg): A penicillinase-resistant penicillin, Cloxacillin primarily works against penicillinase-producing staphylococci. Like Ampicillin, it also inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins. This action disrupts cell wall formation in bacteria and triggers their demise.

• Store Megaclox Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.
• Keep the medicine in a tightly closed container to protect it from light and moisture.
• Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach of children.
