Ampilox Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, skin, and soft tissues. It is particularly effective for managing infected wounds, abscesses, and infections following surgery. This medication provides broad-spectrum protection, ensuring that various types of common bacteria are targeted and eliminated effectively to prevent the spread of infection.
This medication contains Ampicillin and Dicloxacillin. Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin that kills a wide range of bacteria, while Cloxacillin is specifically designed to kill bacteria that are resistant to standard penicillin (penicillinase-producing staphylococci).
This tablet should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before a meal, as prescribed by your doctor to ensure maximum absorption. It is vital to complete the full course of therapy to prevent the infection from returning or becoming resistant to antibiotics. Inform your doctor immediately if you have a history of penicillin allergy or asthma.
