The antihistamine blocks histamine to relieve sneezing, itching and a runny nose, the cough suppressant reduces the sensitivity of the nerve endings that trigger the cough reflex, and the decongestant narrows swollen blood vessels in the nose to ease congestion, together relieving cough and breathing discomfort.
Give this syrup to your child using the measuring cup provided, at the dose your doctor prescribes based on age and weight, and do not exceed the recommended frequency.
This medicine can cause drowsiness, so avoid giving it before activities that need alertness, such as school or sport. Tell your doctor if your child has high blood pressure, heart disease or difficulty passing urine, as the decongestant component needs caution in these conditions.
