Lucoz XL Cream is used in adults to treat fungal skin infections of the feet, groin and body, helping to relieve itching, redness and scaling.

Uses of Lucoz XL Cream are:

• Athlete's Foot: Treats fungal infections of the foot.
• Jock Itch: Treats fungal infections in the groin area.
• Ringworm: Helps treat ringworm infections on the body.

Use Lucoz XL Cream as follows:

• Start by washing your hands to make sure they're clean.

• Take a small amount of cream on your fingertip.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin areas.

• Rub it gently until it's fully absorbed into the skin.

• After application, remember to wash your hands again.

Lucoz XL Cream contains luliconazole (1%), working in the body as follows:

• Inhibition of Enzyme: Luliconazole inhibits an enzyme called lanosterol demethylase in fungal cells. This enzyme is crucial for making ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane.

• Disruption of Fungal Cell Membrane: By inhibiting lanosterol demethylase, luliconazole leads to a decrease in ergosterol and an increase in lanosterol. This imbalance disrupts the structure and function of the fungal cell membrane.

• Fungicidal Activity: As a result of these actions, luliconazole has fungicidal activity, particularly against dermatophyte fungi like Trichophyton species, which commonly cause skin infections.

• Store Lucoz XL Cream at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Make sure to seal the tube tightly after every use.

• Always keep it out of the reach of children.

• If you have a fungal skin infection like athlete's foot, jock itch, or ringworm, try to keep the affected area dry as much as possible. Too much moisture can cause fungi to grow faster.

• Wear loose, breathable clothing, particularly around your feet, groin, or other infected areas. Tight clothing can create a warm, moist environment that encourages fungal growth.
