Linox I.V. Injection is used in the following cases:

• Managing bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues

• Controlling pneumonia, a condition causing inflammation in the lungs

• Combating infection in the bloodstream, known as septicaemia or blood poisoning

• Addressing complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis

• Handling community-acquired pneumonia, a lung infection contracted outside of a medical setting

• Fighting off infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria, like methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

• Dealing with infections in adults with lowered immunity due to neutropenia

Administer Linox I.V. Injection as follows:

• Always ensure that the injection is administered by a trained healthcare professional.

• This medicine should be injected into a vein (intravenous administration).

• The injection must be given slowly over 30 to 120 minutes.

• The injection site should be rotated to prevent soreness and irritation.

• Always follow your doctor's instructions on the frequency and duration of this medicine.

Linox I.V. Injection is administered intravenously.

Linox I.V. Injection contains linezolid (600 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Bacterial Protein Synthesis Inhibition: Linezolid works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It does this by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, essentially disrupting the process that allows bacteria to grow and multiply.

• Resistance to Other Antibiotics: Because of its unique mechanism of action, linezolid is effective against bacteria that have become resistant to other types of antibiotics. This makes it particularly useful when other treatments have failed or are unsuitable.

• Gram-positive Bacteria Targeting: Linezolid is especially effective against Gram-positive bacteria. These include certain strains that can cause serious infections, such as pneumonia and skin infections.

• Store the Linox I.V. Injection in a cool, dry place.

• Keep it away from direct light and do not freeze.

• Ensure it is kept out of sight and reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use and do not use if expired.
