Linares M Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes in adults

• Improvement of blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes

• Use in patients with inadequate glycemic control despite using metformin

• Adjunct to diet and exercise for better blood sugar management in type 2 diabetes

To use Linares M Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.

• Take this medicine twice daily with meals, as directed by your doctor.

• It's essential to take this medicine regularly and not miss any doses.

• If you have any concerns or experience side effects, consult your doctor immediately.

Linares M Tablet is taken orally.

Linares M Tablet has two active ingredients:

• Linagliptin (2.5 mg): As a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, linagliptin slows down the inactivation of certain hormones such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). These hormones stimulate your pancreas to produce more insulin when blood sugar levels are high and reduce the secretion of glucagon from the liver, which in turn decreases glucose production. By inhibiting DPP-4, linagliptin enhances the effects of these hormones, leading to better control of your blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin works by reducing the amount of glucose produced by your liver, increasing insulin sensitivity in body tissues, enhancing glucose uptake by cells, and delaying glucose absorption from your intestines. These actions work together to effectively lower blood sugar levels.

• Store Linares M Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.
