Lamitor Dt 25 Tablet 15

Lamitor DT-25 Tablet is used for control of epileptic seizures, management of partial onset seizures, and treatment of primary and secondary tonic-clonic seizures.

Uses of Lamitor Dt 25 Tablet 15 are:

• Epilepsy: Controls and prevents focal and generalised seizures.
• Partial-Onset Seizures: Manages partial-onset seizures.
• Tonic-Clonic Seizures: Treats primary and secondary tonic-clonic seizures.

Follow these instructions while taking Lamitor DT-25 Tablet:

• Dissolve it in a glass of water. Ensure the tablet is completely dissolved before drinking the mixture.
• Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's nearly time for your next dose.
• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your treatment plan.

Lamitor DT-25 Tablet is taken orally.

Lamitor DT-25 Tablet contains lamotrigine (25 mg), which works in the following ways:

• Stabilisation of Neuronal Membranes: Lamotrigine works by stabilising the membranes of nerve cells in your brain, preventing them from becoming overactive and causing seizures.
• Inhibition of Excitatory Neurotransmitters: It reduces the release of certain brain chemicals called excitatory amino acid neurotransmitters, particularly glutamate, which play a key role in generating and spreading epileptic seizures.
• Neuroprotective Effects: Lamotrigine provides protection to brain cells, helping prevent neuronal damage that can occur during the course of bipolar disorder.
• Modulation of Electrical Activity: It helps regulate abnormal electrical activity in the brain, which controls extreme mood swings associated with bipolar disorder.
