Lamitor DT-25 Tablet is used to control and prevent seizures in epilepsy. It contains lamotrigine, and helps stabilise abnormal electrical activity in the brain, preventing focal and generalised seizures.
Lamotrigine works by steadying abnormal electrical signals in the brain, which reduces the frequency of seizures, and this dispersible tablet form can be dissolved in water or swallowed whole.
Take this tablet at the same time each day, dispersed in water or swallowed whole as your doctor prescribes, and never change your dose without medical advice.
Tell your doctor immediately if you develop a rash, especially in the first eight weeks of treatment, as this can rarely be a sign of a serious reaction needing urgent medical attention. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
