Lamitor DT-100 Tablet is used in adults and children with epilepsy to control seizures, and in adults with bipolar disorder to help prevent severe mood episodes.

Uses of Lamitor DT-100 Tablet are:

• Epilepsy: Helps control partial and generalised seizures, either alone or with other epilepsy medicines.
• Bipolar Disorder: Helps prevent severe mood swings and depressive episodes in bipolar disorder.

To use Lamitor DT-100 Tablet correctly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole, don’t chew it as it may taste bitter.

• Stick to the recommended dose and don’t increase or decrease it without consulting your doctor.

• Don't suddenly stop taking this medicine or change the dose without talking to your doctor first as it could worsen your condition.

• If you stop taking this medicine for any reason, don't start again without your doctor's approval.

Lamitor DT-100 Tablet is taken orally.

Lamitor DT-100 Tablet contains lamotrigine (100 mg) which acts on your body through the following mechanisms:

• Neurotransmitter Balance Restoration: Lamotrigine helps restore the balance of certain natural substances, called neurotransmitters, in your brain. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that nerves use to communicate with each other. Restoring the balance of these substances helps improve the functioning of the nervous system.

• Stabilising Abnormal Electrical Activity: This medicine acts on the central nervous system, which includes your brain and spinal cord, to stabilise the abnormal electrical activity responsible for seizures and mood swings. By reducing this abnormal activity, lamotrigine helps prevent seizures in epilepsy and regulates mood changes in bipolar disorder.

• Keep Lamitor DT-100 Tablet in a dry place.

• The ideal storage temperature is below 30°C.

• Protect from light to maintain its effectiveness.

• Ensure this medicine is stored well out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use and avoid using post-expiry.

• If you have epilepsy, try to maintain a regular sleep pattern. Lack of sleep can trigger seizures.
