HYDRONOL 25 TABLET 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Reducing fluid retention and swelling

• Treating oedema caused by heart failure

• Controlling swelling due to liver problems

• Managing fluid buildup from kidney disorders

• Reducing oedema caused by steroid medications

• Decreasing peripheral vascular resistance

• Lowering workload on the heart

• Treating hypertension in combination with other medicines

Follow these instructions while taking HYDRONOL 25 TABLET 10:

• Take the tablet orally with a full glass of water.

• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking it.

• Take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it.

HYDRONOL 25 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

HYDRONOL 25 TABLET 10 contains hydrochlorothiazide (25 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Kidney action: Hydrochlorothiazide works directly on your kidneys, specifically on structures called distal tubules, to increase the amount of sodium, chloride, and water excreted in your urine.

• Fluid reduction: By increasing urine production, this medicine decreases the total amount of fluid in your body, which helps reduce swelling and lowers the workload on your heart.

• Blood vessel relaxation: The medicine causes your blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), making it easier for blood to flow through them, which helps lower your blood pressure.

• Peripheral resistance reduction: By decreasing the resistance in your blood vessels, hydrochlorothiazide reduces the pressure against which your heart must pump, further helping to lower blood pressure.
