Gluxit S 10/100 Tablet 10

Gluxit-S 10/100 Tablet is used in the management of the following conditions:

• Improvement of sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus: This condition is characterised by high blood sugar levels due to the body's inefficiency in using or producing insulin.

• Supplement to diet and exercise for better glycemic control: Dietary changes and regular physical activity are often not enough on their own. In such cases, this medicine can help achieve desired sugar levels.

• Use in combination therapy for type 2 diabetes mellitus: When other medications, such as metformin alone, don't provide adequate sugar control, Gluxit-S 10/100 Tablet can be added to the treatment regimen.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush, split, or chew the tablet.

• Never exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.

Gluxit-S 10/100 Tablet is taken orally.

Gluxit-S 10/100 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This ingredient acts as a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. SGLT2 is involved in glucose reabsorption in your kidneys. By inhibiting this process, dapagliflozin causes more glucose to be removed from your body through urine, thus lowering blood glucose levels.

• Sitagliptin (100 mg): This component works as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. DPP-4 usually breaks down certain hormones called incretins (GLP-1 and GIP). By inhibiting DPP-4, sitagliptin increases the levels of these hormones which stimulate insulin production when blood sugar levels are high and reduce glucagon release, thereby reducing blood glucose levels.

• Store Gluxit-S 10/100 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, away from moisture.

• Protect the medicine from direct sunlight and heat.
