Dapanorm Duo 10 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults whose blood sugar is not adequately controlled. It combines dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, with sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, to manage glucose levels through two complementary mechanisms.
Dapagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess glucose through the urine, while sitagliptin increases insulin release and reduces glucose production by the liver, together giving stronger blood sugar control than either medicine alone.
Take this tablet daily, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and drink enough fluids through the day, since dapagliflozin increases how much you urinate.
Tell your doctor immediately if you notice deep, laboured breathing, nausea or unusual tiredness even with a normal blood sugar reading, as this can signal diabetic ketoacidosis. Report any burning on passing urine, genital itching, or severe abdominal pain.
