Fungicros Nail Lacquer is used to manage mild to moderate fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails. It is effective in treating onychomycosis without matrix involvement, caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, or molds. This lacquer helps clear up fungal infections and promote healthier nail growth.

To use Fungicros Nail Lacquer effectively, follow these steps:

• Begin by filing down the nail using a nail file.

• Clean your nails with an alcohol swab.

• Using the applicator brush, evenly apply the lacquer from the cuticle to the free end of the nail, as advised by the doctor.

• Let it dry for roughly 3 minutes.

Fungicros Nail Lacquer is applied topically.

Fungicros Nail Lacquer contains two active ingredients:

• Amorolfine (5%): It works as both a fungicidal and fungistatic agent that interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol in fungal cells. Ergosterol is similar to cholesterol in human cells and is crucial for maintaining cell membrane integrity.

• Ethanol (48.3%): While not an active antifungal agent itself, ethanol serves as a solvent in this formulation, allowing amorolfine to penetrate and act on the fungal infection in your nails effectively.

By disrupting ergosterol production, Fungicros Nail Lacquer increases permeability in fungal cell membranes, leading to cell lysis or breakdown and eventual death of the fungus. This action helps manage onychomycosis effectively.

• Store Fungicros Nail Lacquer at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Do not freeze.

• Keep it in a firmly closed container.

• Protect it from direct sunlight and heat.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed after use.

• Place the product in its outer carton to shield it from light.

• Always ensure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Maintain good nail hygiene to manage fungal infections on nails. This includes keeping your nails clean, dry and trimmed short. Avoid sharing towels or shoes which may spread fungal spores.

• Wear breathable footwear and change your socks daily. Fungi thrive in warm, moist environments like sweaty shoes. By keeping your feet dry, you can help prevent the recurrence of onychomycosis.
