Formoflo Forte Transcaps is a medicine used in the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is not intended for the instant relief of sudden breathing problems, but for regular use to control and prevent symptoms.
It contains formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways, and fluticasone, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, making breathing easier. Use it as directed by your doctor through an inhaler device, and rinse your mouth with water after each use to help prevent oral thrush.
Avoiding known triggers such as smoke, dust, and allergens can help alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, or are taking other medicines. Do not stop using it suddenly, even if you feel well, as your symptoms may worsen.
