It contains fluticasone propionate, an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation and swelling, and formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles to keep breathing passages open. Use it regularly via your inhaler device as prescribed by your doctor. It is a maintenance medication and should not be used as a sudden rescue treatment for acute asthma attacks.
Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out after each use to prevent oral thrush and throat irritation. Avoid known asthma triggers such as smoke, dust, pollen, and cold air.
Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart rhythm problems, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or active infections before using this medicine. Contact your doctor if you experience sudden breathing difficulty right after inhalation, chest pain, or persistent throat discomfort.
