Folitrax-10 Tablet is a medicine used to manage active rheumatoid arthritis, severe psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and other autoimmune inflammatory conditions in adults and children. It helps reduce joint pain, swelling, and long-term joint damage.
It contains methotrexate, a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD). Take this medicine strictly as prescribed by your doctor once weekly on the same day each week; taking it more frequently can cause severe toxicity. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Maintaining overall health and attending all routine blood monitoring appointments are essential during treatment. Your doctor will regularly check your blood counts, liver function, and kidney function to ensure safe use.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney conditions, lung problems, or active infections. This medicine must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it can cause serious harm to an unborn baby. Both men and women must use effective contraception during treatment and for three months after stopping. Report unusual bruising, breathlessness, mouth ulcers, or signs of infection immediately.
