These include reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active as advised, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol. Avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless your doctor advises them, as this medicine can raise potassium levels.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney problems, high potassium levels, or diabetes, or are taking other medicines. Your doctor may check your potassium and kidney function with blood tests. Report muscle weakness, an irregular heartbeat, or severe dizziness.
