CompositionDURITE 10 TABLET 10 is used to treat swelling caused by excess fluid in the body (oedema) in adults with heart failure, kidney disease and liver disease, and to help control high blood pressure. By reducing fluid build-up, it helps reduce swelling and shortness of breath.
It contains torsemide (10 mg), a loop diuretic. Take it as prescribed, usually in the morning to avoid needing to pass urine at night.
Reducing salt in your diet, keeping to your monitoring appointments and following any fluid-intake advice support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any allergy to sulphonamide medicines, gout or diabetes before starting, and about other medicines you take. Regular blood tests check your kidneys and electrolyte (salt) levels. Report marked dizziness, muscle cramps or ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
