• Terbinafine Hydrochloride I.P. 1% w/w: Terbinafine Hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent widely used in fungal infections. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, which is crucial for synthesising ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. By disrupting this process, Terbinafine Hydrochloride weakens the fungal cell membrane, accumulating toxic substances within the cell and ultimately causing its death. This targeted action helps manage fungal infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and yeast infections. It is especially effective in areas prone to moisture and warmth, where fungal growth is common, relieving itching, scaling, and irritation.
