CTD-O 6.25/20 Tablet is used for the management of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. It can be used alone or in combination with other blood pressure-lowering medications to better control blood pressure.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid chewing or crushing it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, as your comfort dictates.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you start feeling better or your blood pressure readings improve. High blood pressure often doesn't cause any symptoms, and stopping your medication could cause your blood pressure to rise again.

• Always speak to your doctor before making any changes to how you take your medicine.

CTD-O 6.25/20 Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of two active ingredients:

• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): This is a thiazide-like diuretic that works on the kidneys. Its primary function is to reduce sodium and chloride reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney. This action leads to an increased excretion of water and electrolytes from your body, resulting in reduced blood volume and lower blood pressure.

• Olmesartan Medoxomil (20 mg): This component is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in the vascular smooth muscle. This effect reduces vasoconstriction, thereby making it easier for your heart to pump blood and lowering your blood pressure.

• Store CTD-O 6.25/20 Tablet in a tightly sealed container.

• The ideal temperature for storage is below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep this product out of the reach of children.

• Ensure you use CTD-O 6.25/20 Tablet before its expiry date.

• Limit your salt intake: High amounts of sodium can escalate blood pressure, making hypertension harder to manage. Cut back on processed foods, which often contain high levels of salt.

• Engage in regular physical activity: Mild exercise, such as a brisk walk for 30 minutes a day, can help lower blood pressure and keep hypertension in check. But remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
