Cosmelite Cream is a combination topical medicine used to treat moderate to severe melasma, which causes dark, discoloured patches on the skin. It helps lighten dark spots, facial hyperpigmentation, and uneven patches triggered by sun exposure, hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy, or oral contraceptives.
This cream combines three active ingredients: hydroquinone, tretinoin, and mometasone. Hydroquinone is a skin-lightening agent that decreases skin pigment production, tretinoin is a retinoid that accelerates skin cell renewal and exfoliation, and mometasone is a mild corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling, and localised inflammation. Apply a thin layer exactly as directed.
To maximise your treatment results, apply the cream only at night and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF during the day. Avoid picking at or aggressively scrubbing your face, wear wide-brimmed hats outdoors, and keep your skin moist with gentle, non-comedogenic emollients.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a history of skin allergies, vitiligo, or skin thinning disorders. It is intended strictly for external use on unaffected or non-broken skin surfaces; keep it away from your eyes, nose, and lips. This cream is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential fetal risks.
