Cosmelite Cream 25Gm

Cosmelite Cream is indicated for the short-term topical management of moderate to severe facial melasma and to reduce localised inflammatory hyperpigmentation patches in adults.

Uses of Cosmelite Cream are:

• Melasma Treatment: Lightens dark brown or greyish patches on the cheeks, forehead, nose, and upper lip areas.
• Hyperpigmentation Management: Fades stubborn dark spots, chronic freckles, and post-inflammatory pigmentation caused by past skin breakouts.
• Dermal Swelling Control: Reduces localised redness, tissue swelling, and minor irritation associated with intensive skin renewal.

Follow the instructions below when using Cosmelite Cream:

• Make sure your face is clean and dry before application.
• Apply the cream as directed to the affected areas.
• Remember to wash your hands thoroughly before and after use.
• Don't forget to apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher in the morning, and reapply every 2 hours.

Cosmelite Cream is applied topically.

Cosmelite Cream contains three active ingredients:

• Hydroquinone (2% w/w): This skin-lightening agent works by inhibiting an enzyme called tyrosinase in your body. Tyrosinase plays a key role in forming melanin, the pigment that gives colour to our skin.
• Mometasone (0.1% w/w): This is a medium-potency corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. It works by inducing proteins called lipocortins, which control inflammation in our body.
• Tretinoin (0.025% w/w): It is a type of retinoid that works by promoting cell turnover in the top layer of our skin, the epidermis. This action allows pigmented skin cells to be shed more readily and enhances the skin-lightening effect brought about by hydroquinone.

• Store Cosmelite Cream at a room temperature of 20°C to 25°C.
• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Ensure the tube is tightly closed when not in use to avoid exposure to air.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Use it before the expiry date mentioned on the tube.

• Always apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before stepping out during the day.
• Avoid using harsh soaps or skin products that can irritate your skin. Opt for mild cleansers instead.
• Consider eating a diet rich in antioxidants, including brightly coloured fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants help protect your skin from damage.
