Concor 2.5 MG Tablet is used for the following conditions:

• Reduction of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension

• Management of angina pectoris, a condition that causes chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart

Here are some instructions to follow while taking Concor 2.5 MG Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Ensure you take the medicine around the same time each day for consistent effectiveness.

• Avoid stopping the intake of this medicine abruptly; always consult your doctor before making any changes to your dosage.

Concor 2.5 MG Tablet is taken orally.

Concor 2.5 MG Tablet contains bisoprolol (2.5 mg), which works on the body in several ways:

• Negative chronotropic effect: Bisoprolol slows down your heart rate by blocking beta-1 receptors in your heart.

• Negative inotropic effect: It reduces the force with which your heart muscle contracts, thus decreasing the heart's workload.

• Negative bathmotropic effect: It reduces conduction through the AV node in your heart, further aiding in controlling your heart rate.

• Renin release inhibition: Bisoprolol inhibits the release of renin from your kidneys, resulting in lower levels of angiotensin II and aldosterone substances that can contribute to high blood pressure.
