Clop-S Ointment is used to treat thick, inflamed skin in psoriasis, chronic eczema, dermatitis, and lichen planus.

Uses of Clop-S Ointment are:

• Psoriasis and Chronic Eczema: Reduces severe inflammation, scaling, itching, and plaque formation in chronic inflammatory skin conditions.
• Thickened Skin: Salicylic acid softens dead skin layers, allowing clobetasol to penetrate deeper and achieve better control of inflammation.

• Clean the affected area of your skin before application. Use soap and water, then pat dry.

• Dab a thin layer of the ointment over the affected area using a clean cotton swab or your fingertips.

• Gently massage the product into your skin until it's fully absorbed.

• Ensure to wash your hands thoroughly after application to prevent any accidental spread to other areas.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice regarding its usage.

Clop-S Ointment contains two active ingredients:

• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): This super-potent corticosteroid has potent anti-inflammatory, antipruritic (itch-relieving), and vasoconstrictive (narrowing blood vessels) properties. It works by suppressing your body's inflammatory response, thus reducing skin redness, swelling, and itching.

• Salicylic acid (3%): As a keratolytic agent, salicylic acid softens and loosens dry, scaly skin by breaking down keratin - a protein that forms the outer layer of your skin. This allows the clobetasol propionate to penetrate more effectively into your skin. Additionally, salicylic acid also possesses mild anti-inflammatory properties.

Together, these components work synergistically to reduce skin inflammation, itching, flaking, and scaling while making your skin smoother and more supple.
