It contains salicylic acid 3%, a keratolytic agent that breaks down and removes thickened, dead skin layers. This softening action improves the penetration of any accompanying corticosteroid or medicated ingredient and helps reduce plaque formation and scaling on the skin surface.
Apply the lotion to the affected areas as directed by your doctor. Avoid using it on the face, groin, or skin folds unless specifically instructed. Use it for the shortest time needed and do not apply excessively, as overuse can increase the risk of side effects.
Skin redness, dryness, or itching at the site of application may occur. Skin thinning is possible with prolonged use. Inform your doctor if you notice worsening irritation or unusual skin changes during treatment.
