Cetil 250 Tablet 10

Cetil 250 Tablet is prescribed for various bacterial infections, including acute bacterial otitis media (ear infections), acute bacterial maxillary sinusitis (sinus infections), and acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis. It is also effective for uncomplicated skin and urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, and in the early stages of Lyme disease, a tick-borne illness.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Cetil 250 Tablet is taken orally. 

Cetil 250 Tablet contains the following component:

• Cefuroxime (250 mg): It is a cephalosporin antibiotic that targets the bacterial cell wall, a crucial component for bacterial structure and stability. By disrupting this cross-linking process, Cetil 250 Tablet weakens the strength of the bacterial cell wall. As a result, the bacterial cell becomes structurally unstable. The weakened cell wall eventually breaks down, leading to the rupture and death of the bacterial cell.

The storage instructions for the Cetil 250 Tablet are as follows:

• Cetil 250 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• After finishing the entire course of Cetil 250 Tablet, consider taking probiotics to replenish beneficial intestinal bacteria and reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
• Incorporate probiotic-rich foods like yoghurt, cheese, sauerkraut, and kimchi into the diet to promote the growth of healthy gut bacteria.
• Boost your fibre intake with foods easily digested by gut bacteria, helping stimulate their growth.
• Include fibre-enriched foods like whole-grain bread and brown rice in your daily diet to restore a healthy balance of gut bacteria.
• Avoid excessive consumption of calcium-enriched foods and drinks, as they may interfere with the effectiveness of Cetil 250 Tablet.
• Be mindful of the timing of calcium-rich foods and medications, allowing sufficient time between them as your doctor advises.
