Cetanil-Trio 12.5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Controlling essential hypertension in adults

• Managing high blood pressure when monotherapy is ineffective

• Reducing peripheral resistance through vasodilation

• Decreasing aldosterone secretion

• Lowering cardiac output by reducing extracellular fluid volume

Here are some simple steps to follow while taking Cetanil-Trio 12.5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• For best results, take the medicine at the same time each day.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Cetanil-Trio 12.5 Tablet works through three active ingredients:

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): This diuretic acts on your kidneys and increases the removal of sodium and water from your body. This results in decreased fluid volume outside your cells, leading to reduced cardiac output and lower blood pressure.

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): As a calcium channel blocker, cilnidipine inhibits the movement of calcium ions into certain cells in your body. This causes relaxation and widening of your blood vessels, resulting in decreased resistance to blood flow and lowered blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This angiotensin II receptor blocker selectively prevents angiotensin II from binding to specific receptors in your body. This leads to the widening of your blood vessels, reduced resistance to blood flow, and decreased secretion of aldosterone—a hormone that can raise blood pressure—all contributing to a reduction in blood pressure.
