CARVENOL 20 CR TABLET 10 is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), and congestive heart failure in adults. It helps reduce the strain on the heart, lower blood pressure, and improve the heart's ability to pump blood effectively.
It contains carvedilol and belongs to a group of medicines called combined alpha and beta-blockers. Take it with food as prescribed, swallowing the tablet whole. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as this can cause a sudden rise in blood pressure or worsening of chest pain. Your doctor will reduce the dose gradually if treatment needs to be stopped.
Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly as advised by your doctor. Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it can lower blood pressure further and increase dizziness.
Tell your doctor before starting if you have asthma, diabetes, liver problems, or severe heart failure, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report any unusually slow heartbeat, severe dizziness, significant weight gain, worsening breathlessness, or raised blood sugar to your doctor right away.
