Byloza 40 Tablet is effective for providing relief from seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. It also manages perennial allergic rhinitis and helps reduce discomfort caused by urticaria. Byloza 40 Tablet is taken orally.

Byloza 40 Tablet contains bilastine (40 mg), which works in the body in the following ways:

• Blocks Histamine H1 Receptors: Bilastine acts as an antagonist to the histamine H1 receptors. This means it blocks these receptors, preventing them from being activated by histamine, a compound that triggers allergy symptoms.

• Prevents Allergy Cascade: By blocking histamine H1 receptors, bilastine stops the release of other substances that mediate allergies and cause inflammation. This action effectively reduces allergy symptoms such as nasal congestion, itching and skin rashes.

• Minimal Central Nervous System Effects: As a second-generation antihistamine, bilastine does not readily cross into the brain from the blood. This minimal penetration into the central nervous system means it has fewer sedating effects compared to first-generation antihistamines.

• Protect your Byloza 40 Tablet from moisture and store it below 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight.

• Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as alcohol can increase drowsiness which is a common side effect of antihistamines.
