Budamate 400 Transhaler is used for the following:

• Management of long-term asthma conditions

• Maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Control and prevention of symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath

• Improvement of lung function in adult patients suffering from respiratory diseases

Administer Budamate 400 Transhaler as suggested below:

• Ensure the Transhaler is upright before you start.

• Exhale fully to empty your lungs.

• Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it.

• Breathe deeply and steadily while pressing down on the inhaler to release the medicine.

• Hold your breath for about 10 seconds to allow the medicine to reach deep into your lungs.

• Repeat the process if a second dose is advised by your doctor.

• Always rinse your mouth with water after using the inhaler to prevent oral thrush.

Budamate 400 Transhaler contains two active ingredients that work together to manage symptoms of asthma and COPD:

• Budesonide (400 mcg): As a potent glucocorticoid, budesonide exhibits anti-inflammatory activity in the lungs. It works by binding to glucocorticoid receptors, which inhibits the synthesis of inflammatory mediators. This action reduces inflammation, swelling, and irritation in the airways.

• Formoterol Fumarate (6 mcg): This is a selective, long-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist. It functions by stimulating the beta2-receptors in the smooth muscles of the bronchi. This leads to relaxation and dilation of the airways, relieving bronchospasms and improving breathing.

• Keep the Budamate 400 Transhaler at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, intense heat, or excessive moisture.
