Formonide 400 Respicaps are used for the long-term management of asthma and COPD.

To get the maximum benefits from Formonide 400 Respicaps, follow these guidelines:

• Always use the compatible inhaler device called the Respihaler to inhale this medicine.

• Remember not to swallow the capsules. They are meant only for inhalation.

• After inserting a capsule into your Respihaler, sit or stand upright.

• Take a deep breath inwards through the device to pull the powder into your lungs. Hold this breath for 5-10 seconds before exhaling slowly.

• Rinse your mouth with water after each inhalation to avoid any fungal infection.

Formonide 400 Respicaps has a dual-action mechanism that helps manage your respiratory conditions effectively:

• Formoterol Fumarate (6 mcg): This long-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist (LABA) stimulates the beta2 receptors in your lungs. The activation of these receptors causes relaxation of the smooth muscles around your airways. This leads to bronchodilation or widening of the airways, making it easier for you to breathe. The effects of formoterol last for about 12 hours.
• Budesonide (400 mcg): This inhaled corticosteroid has potent anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces inflammation in the airways, which in turn reduces swelling and mucus production. By doing so, it decreases hyper-responsiveness of the airways, preventing asthma exacerbations and COPD flare-ups.
