Foracort 400 Inhaler is used for the long-term control of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It combines an inhaled corticosteroid, which reduces inflammation in the airways, with a long-acting bronchodilator, which relaxes and opens the air passages to make breathing easier.
Used regularly, it helps keep symptoms under control and breathing more stable. It is designed as a regular preventer and is not intended to relieve a sudden asthma attack.
Use the inhaler exactly as prescribed and rinse your mouth after each use to reduce the chance of throat irritation and a mouth infection.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any other medicines you take. Report any persistent throat problems or hoarseness to your doctor.
