Composition

Nimesulide (100 Mg) + Paracetamol/acetaminophen (325 Mg)

Biogesic-P Tablet is used to relieve pain and inflammation and to reduce fever, in conditions such as arthritis, muscle and joint pain, dental pain, painful periods and pain after surgery.

It combines an anti-inflammatory painkiller (NSAID) with paracetamol, which relieves pain and fever. Together they ease pain and bring down a temperature.

Take it with or after food, as prescribed. Do not take other paracetamol-containing products at the same time.

Tell your doctor about any stomach, kidney, liver or heart problems before use. Report black or tarry stools.

Biogesic-P Tablet is used to relieve pain and fever.

Uses of Biogesic-P Tablet are:

Arthritis and Joint Pain: Relieves pain and swelling in arthritis and joint conditions.
Everyday Pain: Eases headache, dental pain and painful periods.
Fever: Brings down a raised temperature.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Take this medicine after meals to minimise any potential stomach upset.
It's crucial that you don't take more than your doctor has recommended. If you're unsure about the dose, consult your doctor.

Biogesic-P Tablet is taken orally.

Biogesic-P Tablet may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

A few common side effects of Biogesic-P Tablet:

Digestive: Feeling sick (nausea), vomiting, indigestion, abdominal pain, and loose motions (diarrhoea) or constipation; report black stools.
Nervous System and Skin: Dizziness, headache, sleepiness and a skin rash in some people.

If side effects do not improve or become serious, speak to your doctor right away.

Management Of Side Effects:

Dyspepsia: Try taking Biogesic-P Tablet after meals to reduce feelings of indigestion.
Diarrhoea or constipation: Ensure you stay adequately hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.

Nimesulide (100 mg): As part of the NSAID family, this component works by obstructing the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, which is responsible for creating prostaglandins that cause pain, fever and inflammation at sites of injury or damage. By inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, Nimesulide effectively reduces inflammation.
Paracetamol (325 mg): This component is a para-aminophenol derivative with analgesic and antipyretic properties. While its exact mechanism of action isn't entirely clear, it's believed that it works primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system (CNS). This action leads to an increase in the pain threshold and a reduction of fever. Paracetamol has weak anti-inflammatory activity.

Pregnancy

Biogesic-P Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester. If you're pregnant or planning a baby, it's essential to discuss this with your doctor before starting this medicine.

Breastfeeding

Nursing mothers should avoid Biogesic-P Tablet. Consult your doctor to understand the potential risks and benefits.

Alcohol
