Take this tablet as prescribed, ideally in the evening, on an empty stomach where possible, and continue taking it regularly for as long as your doctor advises, even between flare-ups.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, since montelukast has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness in some people, so take care while driving.
