Bilasure 40 M Tablet 10 is used for the management of allergic rhinitis and allergy-related respiratory symptoms. It combines bilastine, an antihistamine, with montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist.
Bilastine blocks histamine to ease sneezing, itching and a runny nose, while montelukast blocks leukotrienes, substances involved in airway inflammation, giving broader relief when nasal allergy symptoms occur alongside airway tightness or wheeze.
Take this tablet as prescribed, ideally in the evening, on an empty stomach where possible, and continue taking it regularly for as long as your doctor advises, even between flare-ups.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, since montelukast has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness in some people, so take care while driving.
