CompositionBilanix Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of hay fever (allergic rhinitis) in adults, such as sneezing, itching, a runny or congested nose, and red or watery eyes, often triggered by allergens like pollen, dust, mould or pet dander. It also treats hives (urticaria), an itchy skin rash caused by reactions to food, medicines or other irritants.
It contains bilastine, a non-drowsy antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, the substance responsible for allergic symptoms. Take it as prescribed, on an empty stomach, at the same time each day, and continue for the duration advised even if symptoms ease.
Minimising exposure to known allergy triggers such as dust, pollen and pet fur can help reduce flare-ups alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have moderate to severe kidney impairment, or a personal or family history of heart problems, before starting this medicine, as this information is important for your safety.
