Abendol Plus Suspension contains two active ingredients:

• Albendazole (200 mg): This ingredient hails from the benzimidazole class of anthelmintics. It plays a crucial role in managing worm infestations by inhibiting the polymerisation of worm β-tubulin. This action leads to the loss of cytoplasmic microtubules, disrupting the worm's energy metabolism, causing immobilisation and eventual death.

• Ivermectin (1.5 mg): As a member of the avermectin class of medicines, ivermectin works by increasing the permeability of the worm's cell membrane to chloride ions. This results in hyperpolarisation of nerve and muscle cells, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite.
