Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination may be used in adults and children, depending on body weight, age, and the type of infection, as advised by the doctor. Ivermectin is generally not recommended in children weighing less than 15 kg unless specifically prescribed.

Contraindications

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to albendazole, ivermectin, benzimidazole medicines, or any of the ingredients of this medicine.

Other Medications to Avoid With This Medicine

• This combination may interact with anticoagulants (such as warfarin), anticonvulsant medicines (such as phenytoin and carbamazepine), corticosteroids (such as dexamethasone), medicines that affect liver enzymes (such as ketoconazole or erythromycin), and antiparasitic medicines (such as diethylcarbamazine or praziquantel).
• Inform your doctor if you are taking medicines for epilepsy, liver disorders, or long-term steroid treatment.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this combination may cause severe dizziness, vomiting, diarrhoea, confusion, abdominal pain, or seizures. If you experience these symptoms, inform your doctor immediately and follow their advice.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Management of Side Effects

• Most side effects are temporary, generally harmless, and improve after completing treatment. However, if you experience severe allergic reactions, persistent vomiting, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or worsening symptoms, consult your doctor immediately.
• Taking the medicine with food can help reduce stomach-related side effects.

• This combination may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms after taking this medicine.
