Deltone Capsule 10

Deltone Capsule is used to treat acid reflux and oesophagitis.

Uses of Deltone Capsule are:

• GERD: Reduces acid reflux, relieving heartburn and discomfort.
• Erosive Oesophagitis: Supports healing of an inflamed or eroded food-pipe lining.
• Maintenance: Helps maintain healing and reduce the return of symptoms.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Don't chew, open or crush the capsule.

Deltone Capsule is taken orally.

Dexlansoprazole is the active ingredient in Deltone Capsule and it works in your body in certain ways:

• Proton pump inhibitor: Dexlansoprazole works by blocking the hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase enzyme system, also known as the proton pump, in your gastric parietal cells. These cells are responsible for the final step of acid production in your stomach.

• Reduces stomach acid: By inhibiting this enzyme, dexlansoprazole effectively decreases the amount of acid produced in your stomach. This relieves symptoms and promotes healing of acid-related conditions.

• Deltone Capsule should be stored in a cool, dry place where the temperature does not exceed 25°C.

• Keep it shielded from direct sunlight and away from excessive moisture.

• Ensure the medicine is stored in its original packaging.

• Always keep Deltone Capsule out of the reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion.

• Check the expiry date before use and do not use it beyond that.

• If you're managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, or peptic ulcer disease with Deltone Capsule, try to avoid spicy, fatty foods which can irritate your stomach lining.

• Consuming smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day instead of three large meals can help manage these conditions.

• Limit your intake of caffeine and alcohol as these can increase stomach acid production and aggravate your condition.

• Avoid lying down or going to bed immediately after eating; wait at least two hours after a meal before sleeping.

• Smoking can worsen stomach acid problems. If you smoke, consider seeking help to quit.

• Regular exercise can aid digestion and reduce stress, which may help alleviate symptoms of GERD and peptic ulcers.
