Zorbax Tablet 10

Zorbax Tablet is used to manage a range of fungal infections, including scalp ringworm, athlete's foot, nail fungus, and jock itch. It helps stop fungal growth, supporting skin health recovery and preventing the spread of infections.

Follow these instructions while taking Zorbax Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water and a meal containing a moderate amount of fat to enhance absorption.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not take more than the suggested dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Zorbax Tablet is taken orally.

Zorbax Tablet contains griseofulvin (500 mg) which acts on the body as follows:

• Disruption of Mitotic Spindle Formation: Griseofulvin works by disrupting the formation of mitotic spindles in fungal cells. These spindles play a significant role in cell division, so their disruption inhibits the growth and spread of fungi.

• Binding with Keratin: Griseofulvin binds with keratin which is a key structural protein in skin, hair, and nails. As old keratin is replaced by new keratin containing griseofulvin, the medicine gradually reaches fungicidal concentrations in the infected tissues over a period of weeks to months. This unique mechanism of action necessitates a long duration of treatment for complete eradication of the fungal infection.

• Store Zorbax Tablet in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.

• The ideal storage temperature is below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until it's time to take it.

• Always keep Zorbax Tablet out of reach of children.

• Use the medicine before its expiry date.

• As fungal infections thrive in moist environments, ensure you keep your skin clean and dry. Avoid wearing tightly fitted clothes, especially during hot weather.

• Include foods rich in healthy fats such as avocados, fatty fish, and nuts in your diet. This enhances the absorption of Griseofulvin, the active ingredient in Zorbax Tablet.
