Zorbax Tablet is used to manage a wide range of fungal infections, including Tinea capitis (scalp ringworm), Tinea corporis (body ringworm), Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), Tinea unguium (nail fungus), Tinea cruris (jock itch), and Tinea barbae (barber’s itch), helping stop fungal growth and support healthy skin recovery.
Follow these instructions while taking Zorbax Tablet:
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water and a meal containing a moderate amount of fat to enhance absorption.
Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.
Do not take more than the suggested dose without consulting your doctor.
It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.
Zorbax Tablet is taken orally.

Disruption of Mitotic Spindle Formation: Griseofulvin works by disrupting the formation of mitotic spindles in fungal cells. These spindles play a significant role in cell division, so their disruption inhibits the growth and spread of fungi.
Binding with Keratin: Griseofulvin binds with keratin which is a key structural protein in skin, hair, and nails. As old keratin is replaced by new keratin containing griseofulvin, the medicine gradually reaches fungicidal concentrations in the infected tissues over a period of weeks to months. This unique mechanism of action necessitates a long duration of treatment for complete eradication of the fungal infection.
Zorbax Tablet is contraindicated during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, ensure to discuss this with your doctor before beginning this medicine.
Zorbax Tablet is not recommended for breastfeeding women. It's essential to consult your doctor to understand the potential risks and benefits.
